Toronto pilot project to use ‘female-friendly’ soccer balls for youth

The story is about Toronto Soccer Organization that makes the Eir ball mandatory for their U13 elite players – and in a greater sense about our sport and the way we can play ball: How we create the sense that it is okay to talk about smart adjustments and show players that we really are concerned about their injuries. That equal rights in soccer does not mean playing with the same size ball as men. That we will do whatever it takes to play great and safely.

So the epidemic has reached FIFA

Sensational Football 008
The recent California class-action lawsuit against Fifa and US soccer groups over the risks from concussions by a group of young American soccer players and their parents clearly (see here and here) shows the trend we have been expecting for years. The lawsuit is not just a single incident.

Needless to say, we care. Our scientifically developed soccer ball, Sensational 1, alone will reduce the number of injuries significantly. And Soccer Associations around the world approved the Sensational 1 ball. We are happy to see the trend shift away from the epidemic of concussion injuries in soccer.

Easy ways to keep your soccer balls in great shape

Did you know: That taking the air out of your soccer ball and let it sit on a heater (only ones that can be covered) for an hour, then massage it a bit using your hands. Use a drop of ball oil at the tip of your pump before you pump it back up. Will give new life to your ball. Try to avoid too much frost – or give it an hour on the heater if its been there for more than a few hours. The inside of the ball is organic material and react to weather.

I know ball companies that have saunas for their balls, when they have lived in boxes for too long, they get a spa treat …
